The circular centrepiece symbolises the unity and spirit of the nation, while flowing saffron, white and green elements reflect the journey of struggle, sacrifice, freedom and progress.
An Ashoka Chakra-inspired blue element introduces a sense of movement and continuity, reflecting India’s constant journey forward, while the greenery represents growth, hope and a flourishing India.
Extending the celebration beyond the interiors, the façade of Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj will be illuminated in the colours of the Indian Tricolour, transforming the landmark into a striking expression of national pride across the city. Independence Day-themed décor and visual elements throughout the mall further create an immersive environment celebrating national pride, unity and identity.
Music and performance form another dimension of the celebrations. A grand piano performance will bring an elegant musical expression to the occasion, using the universal language of music to evoke the emotions of patriotism, freedom and togetherness.
Adding a contemporary voice to the celebrations, students from Lady Shri Ram College and Hindu College will present specially curated dance performances, bringing the energy and creativity of a new generation to Independence Day. Their performances reflect how Gen Z experiences freedom through creativity, expression, music and movement.

Ambience Mall Gurgaon: Honouring Freedom, Valour and Craftsmanship
At Ambience Mall Gurgaon, Independence Day is marked through a celebration that brings together the courage of India’s armed forces, the country’s rich tradition of craftsmanship and the creative voice of its younger generation.
At the centre of the celebration is ‘Eternal Flame of Valour’, an evocative installation paying tribute to the courage, sacrifice and unwavering spirit of India’s soldiers. Symbolising the enduring flame of patriotism, the installation honours the brave men and women whose dedication and sacrifice continue to protect the freedom earned by generations before them.
Complementing this tribute are handcrafted handloom art pieces displayed across the mall, celebrating India’s rich textile heritage and the skilled artisans and weavers who have preserved these traditions across generations. The décor also commemorates National Handloom Day on August 7, which honours India’s handloom community and commemorates the formal launch of the Swadeshi Movement in 1905.
The Swadeshi Movement holds an important place in India’s journey towards independence. By encouraging the use of indigenous products and supporting Indian artisans and industries, the movement became an expression of self-reliance, national pride and resistance during the freedom struggle. More than a century later, its spirit continues to resonate through the celebration of Indian craftsmanship and homegrown talent.
Taking this spirit forward, Ambience Mall Gurgaon will host an exhibit by the Army Women’s Welfare Association on August 15 and 16, bringing together women entrepreneurs and artisans from the armed forces community. The initiative will provide a platform for their work while celebrating Indian handicraft and indigenous craftsmanship, creating a contemporary expression of the Swadeshi spirit.
The celebration will also feature an Air Force Band performance on August 15, bringing the music and traditions of the armed forces to the mall and setting the tone for an expression of patriotism and national pride.

Students from Miranda House and Gargi College will take the stage with specially curated performances, bringing their own perspective on freedom through music, movement and creative expression.
