IMW 2025: India’s Global Maritime Summit Readiness Revealed

Mumbai, October 15, 2025 – The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Government of India, in collaboration with the Indian Ports Association (IPA), will host a press conference at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, to share key updates on India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025, scheduled from 27–31 October 2025 in Mumbai. The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, will be the Chief Guest at the event.

Minister to Outline India’s Maritime Vision

The press conference will be addressed by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, who will:

IMW 2025 is expected to witness participation from over 100 countries, including ministerial delegations from Singapore, UAE, South Korea, Japan, and Denmark. Leading international organisations like the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and UNESCAP, top Indian states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, and major industry players such as Adani Ports and Logistics, Cochin Shipyard, and Paradip Port Authority will converge, making the event a vital platform for collaboration and innovation in the maritime sector.

Showcasing Innovation and Advancing India’s Maritime Leadership

As India’s flagship global maritime event, IMW 2025 will:

Delegations from partner countries, major ports, international maritime bodies, and leading private sector companies will participate, supporting India’s national maritime goals under Maritime India Vision 2030 and Amrit Kaal Maritime Vision 2047.
