Mumbai, December 2025: What began as a bold idea rooted in courage and conversation returned this year as an unstoppable movement. As the sun rose over Mumbai, the Dome SVP Stadium transformed into a vibrant arena of energy, emotion, and empowerment, as more than 1,500 women gathered to participate in the second edition of GoFloRun 2025. Powered by Stayfree Tampons, the event stood as a resounding celebration of women’s fitness, menstrual health awareness, and the power of community-led change.

GoFloRun 2025 was far more than a race. It was a collective declaration — that women’s health matters, that menstruation is not a taboo, and that when women come together with shared intent, they can spark conversations that shift mindsets and shape futures. From first-time runners to seasoned athletes, from young students to working professionals and homemakers, women from across cities, cultures, and age groups ran not just for distance, but for dignity, confidence, and connection.

At the heart of this movement stood Neha Dhupia, actress and wellness advocate, alongside Anita Lobo, ex-national level athlete, entrepreneur, and co-founder of GoFloRun. Together, they once again demonstrated how leadership rooted in authenticity and purpose can mobilize thousands and create spaces where conversations once whispered are spoken aloud with pride.

A Morning That Moved More Than Feet

The morning unfolded with an infectious energy as participants streamed into the Dome SVP Stadium, greeted by music, smiles, and a palpable sense of solidarity. The event opened with a high-octane boxing-inspired warm-up session that set the tone for the day — fierce, fun, and fearless. Laughter mixed with sweat as women stretched, punched the air, and prepared themselves not only for the kilometres ahead, but for the deeper meaning behind every step.

Participants then took to the track across 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km run categories, ensuring that women of all fitness levels could be part of the movement. Whether running competitively or walking with friends, every participant became a symbol of collective strength and shared purpose.

The flag-off ceremony was a moment of star-powered solidarity. Actor Varun Sood, singer Neeti Mohan, fresh from the launch of her single Mirza, and entrepreneur-musician Ananya Birla were present to support the cause. Ananya Birla’s participation stood out as a defining moment of the day — going beyond ceremonial duties, she joined the run herself, embodying the spirit of GoFloRun by actively standing shoulder to shoulder with the community.

A Safe Space for Stories, Strength, and Sisterhood

Since its inception, GoFloRun has been built on the belief that fitness can be a gateway to conversation — and that conversation can be a catalyst for change. Supported wholeheartedly by Stayfree, the event continued its mission of creating a safe, inclusive environment where women could openly talk about menstrual health without fear, shame, or judgment.

This year’s edition marked a significant evolution in scale and experience, made possible through a close partnership with Dome, under the leadership of Managing Director Mazhar Nadiadwala. The collaboration elevated the event’s infrastructure, safety measures, comfort, and celebratory atmosphere, reinforcing the idea that women-centric initiatives deserve world-class platforms.

Beyond the run itself, GoFloRun 2025 became a living, breathing community space. Women shared stories of pain endured in silence, of first periods and first races, of motherhood, self-doubt, resilience, and rediscovered confidence. The stadium echoed with conversations that rarely find space in public forums — honest, raw, and deeply human.

Neha Dhupia: “This Is Not Just a Run — It’s a Legacy”

Reflecting on the journey of GoFloRun, Neha Dhupia shared an emotional perspective rooted in both personal experience and collective hope.

“The first time I ever ran a marathon, I ran alone with my coach. Today, as we embark on the second year of GoFloRun, I run with the spirit of 1,500+ women, each one taking a step toward changing the future of girls from different parts of the country,” she said.

She highlighted how the movement has evolved since its inception, noting a meaningful shift in societal attitudes.

“From where we began to where we stand today, so much has evolved. What has changed most is the outlook and support of men toward the cause of menstrual hygiene awareness. That shift alone makes us believe we are truly on the right path.”

Neha emphasized that GoFloRun is not about speed or competition, but about collective progress.

“With every passing year, we hope more women immerse themselves in the idea of health, fitness, and self-love, and come forward as a community for GoFloRun — not just individually, but collectively. From the moment we opened the gates to the moment we welcomed both the first and the last finishers, I was reminded that we are moving in the right direction.”

She concluded with a powerful reminder of the legacy GoFloRun aims to build:

“What we’re building here is not just a run. It’s a legacy — of confidence, conversations, and choices that the next generation of girls will grow up believing in. And if even one young girl learns that her health matters because of this movement, then GoFloRun has already succeeded.”

Anita Lobo: Turning Fear Into a Force

For Anita Lobo, GoFloRun has always been deeply personal. As an athlete and entrepreneur, she envisioned a space where women could come together without performance pressure — a place where vulnerability was as celebrated as strength.

“When we began GoFloRun, I was terrified — not of the run, but of whether women would truly resonate with a movement that asks them to open up about something so personal,” she admitted.

Standing at the Dome SVP Stadium, watching thousands of women run with joy and conviction, that fear transformed into affirmation.

“Today, looking at women running with their hearts first, I realised again how unstoppable we are when we come together. GoFloRun has never been about kilometres. It’s about the unspoken stories women carry — the pain we ignore, the strength we don’t acknowledge, and the expectations we quietly manage.”

She described the community that has formed around GoFloRun as a family — one that uplifts, supports, and reminds women that they are not alone.

“This movement has grown beyond anything I imagined. GoFloRun 2025 has shown what women can do for themselves and for each other when they run as one.”

Stayfree: Normalising Period Conversations, One Step at a Time

As the title sponsor, Stayfree Tampons continued its commitment to championing menstrual health and breaking period-related stigma. Supriya Srinivasa, Director Marketing, Fem Care, Stayfree, highlighted the significance of the brand’s continued association with GoFloRun.

“Our mission has always been to normalize period conversations and create a world where no girl or woman feels shame, fear, or discomfort about periods,” she said.

She emphasized the role of families — including men — in driving lasting change.

“Through our campaign ‘It’s Just a Period’, we have been striving to involve fathers, sons, and allies in this conversation. It’s heartening to see men come out in support of this cause. GoFloRun proves that periods are not just a women’s issue — they’re a human one.”

Purpose-Driven Partnerships Strengthen the Movement

Adding to the day’s momentum was No Secrets, whose philosophy of transparent, accessible wellness aligned seamlessly with GoFloRun’s purpose. Noel Prince, Co-founder, No Secrets, spoke about the importance of community-driven initiatives.

“Wellness should never be a luxury. Through our clean-label hydration solutions, we empower people to make informed choices about their health. Partnering with GoFloRun allows us to support a cause that uplifts women and encourages healthier, purpose-led lifestyles.”

A Finish Line That Marks a Beginning

As participants crossed the finish line — some triumphant, some emotional, all proud — GoFloRun 2025 concluded not as an ending, but as a beginning. A beginning of deeper conversations, stronger communities, and a future where women’s health is spoken about openly and acted upon collectively.

With Anita Lobo’s vision, Neha Dhupia’s advocacy, and Stayfree’s unwavering support, GoFloRun has firmly established itself as a landmark movement in India’s women’s wellness landscape — one that promises to grow stronger, louder, and more inclusive with every passing year.
